IronVest vs Eftsure
IronVest
IronVest is a New York company that sells an intent verification layer for banks and fintechs. Its ActionID technology uses the device camera to check the customer's face while capturing the transaction details shown on screen, then cryptographically binds the two before a payment is released. For wires, Zelle, ACH, RTP/FedNow and SWIFT initiation, the customer confirms the amount, recipient and bank on their own device, and the bank receives a yes or no result with a signed record of what was approved. IronVest says this can replace callbacks, OTP step-ups and manual review queues for verified actions. A second product, KYRi, assesses recipient risk before funds move and is offered through an early access programme. ActionID is delivered as an SDK or API for iOS, Android and web, and is listed on AWS Marketplace and Microsoft Marketplace.
Pros
- Approval is bound to the amount, recipient and bank shown to the customer, and screen capture is used to detect altered transaction details
- Covers several payment rails, including domestic and international wires, SWIFT, Zelle, ACH and RTP/FedNow
- Each approved transaction produces a cryptographically signed record showing amount, recipient and customer biometric
Things to check
- Verification depends on a device camera and a brief face capture at the point of approval
- KYRi, the recipient-side product, is offered through an early access programme with a small group of banks and fintechs
Pricing: AWS Marketplace lists a 12-month contract at $120,000.00 for up to 10 thousand ActionID users. Larger deployments are priced per customer by quote.
Eftsure
Eftsure is a payment verification platform for finance teams that checks payee and bank details before money leaves the business. It was founded in Sydney in 2014 and has offices in North Sydney, Dallas and Auckland. The platform confirms that a payee is a registered business, checks that the bank account belongs to that payee and screens payees against sanctions lists and government and tax registries. When automated checks cannot resolve a case, Eftsure analysts make out-of-band callbacks. ACH and wire payment files can be reviewed before release, with green and red alerts for matches and mismatches. Eftsure is delivered as a web application, an API or a managed service, and integrates with systems including SAP, Coupa, Workday and Kyriba. It acquired Sis ID in 2025 and announced the acquisition of Relish in September 2026.
Pros
- The Eftsure Guarantee, included in the subscription for customers who signed an agreement after 10 March 2025, covers up to $1 million if a verified payment is lost to social engineering fraud
- Trained fraud analysts investigate and make independent out-of-band callbacks when automated checks cannot resolve a case
- Pre-payment verification is embedded inside Kyriba, FIS Payment Hub and FIS Integrity, as well as SAP, Coupa and Workday
Things to check
- The guarantee covers only social engineering fraud on payments Eftsure has verified, is capped at $1 million, does not state a currency and is subject to Eftsure's terms of service and addendums
- Before go-live Eftsure runs a vendor master file health check (48 hours to 1 week) and verifies anomalies and suppliers not in its database (1 to 3 weeks)
