What we collect

When you sign up to our newsletter we collect your email address. That's it. We use it to send the newsletter and we don't sell it to anyone.

Analytics

We use basic analytics to understand which pages are useful. We don't track individual users across the web. We don't set advertising cookies.

Specifically: when you open a page we record the page path, the time, and a one-way salted hash of your IP address. We store the hash rather than the address itself. It exists only so we can approximate how many separate people read a page rather than how many times it was opened, and it cannot be turned back into your IP address. We also use Microsoft Clarity for aggregate usage analytics.

Until August 2026 this record kept the IP address itself rather than a hash. If you would like the historical entries associated with your address removed, email us and we will do it.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email. You can also email us and ask us to delete your data; we'll do it.
