What is Clavitor?

Clavitor is a credential vault built for AI agents as well as people. Its HTTPS proxy sits between an agent and the APIs it calls: the agent writes a reference such as clavitor://OpenAI/key where a secret would go, and the proxy injects the real credential at the network layer, so the agent never sees, stores or logs it. Agents that do fetch credentials get their own scoped tokens and cannot list or search the vault, every access is logged with the agent, credential, time and source IP, and an agent that requests too many distinct credentials is rate-limited and then locked until a hardware key unlocks it. The company says the vault encrypts each field with AES-256-GCM using keys derived from hardware such as Touch ID or a YubiKey, and that Claude Code, Codex and OpenClaw are supported, alongside a browser extension, mobile apps and a command-line tool. A free plan covers one user and one agent; paid plans run from $1 a month for an individual to $12 per user a month for Enterprise, which Clavitor describes as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 aligned on a self-assessed basis. Clavitor is run by Clavitor LLC.

Best for: Developers and teams who want AI agents to use API keys without ever holding them
